Introduction, 50 Facts About Me, + FOTD!

Hello! My name is Julia, though many of my close friends choose to call me Jules. I have always loved makeup maybe a little too much, definitely more than the average teenage girl should. I started watching beauty videos on YouTube about seven or eight months ago after happening onto one of AllThatGlitters21’s fashion videos and instantly fell in love with the beauty community. For a while now I have considered starting to make beauty videos of my own, but as I am quite a shy person I feel that beginning with a blog is more my speed. Because of this, "Born to Blush" was well, born. The idea of being able to “hide” behind my screen makes me much more comfortable than recording myself and uploading it for the whole world to see. Maybe someday….

In an effort to step a little more out of my comfort zone I decided that my first blog post should be a “50 Facts About Me” post as well as a simple introduction, so here you go:

1.I am 5”4.5

2. I’m American

3.Pink Tulips are my favorite flowers

4. I (extremely oddly) like to eat lemons straight

5. I have played 14 sports in my lifetime and dropped out of all but one

6. Once during swimming class at school I swam with my head above water the entire time so I wouldn’t get my hair wet

7. I have never been stung by a bee, but I have been bitten by a praying mantis

8. I have been an extra in a movie

9. When I really like a song I will play it on repeat for days and I never get tired of it. I can still very happily listen to “Call Me Maybe”

10. My favorite cereal is any kind of Captain Crunch

11.I’m very OCD, but only when it comes to the organization of my room

12. My favorite colors are Baby Pink and Tiffany Blue

13. When I was little I had bleach blond hair, but now it is more of a light brown color

14. I was on a swim team for 9 years

15. I am on my school dance team

16. I desperately miss old Disney Channel Original Movies and Disney TV from the early 2000’s

17. My first concert was High School Musical

18. I’m deathly afraid of ticks, cockroaches, and leeches

19. If I’m wearing an outfit I like and I don’t see anyone I know that day except for my family, I will literally wash it and wear it again the next day. I’m that lazy.

20. I’m attracted to anything sparkly

21. I love to surf

22. I have met three celebrities: Tim Allen, Rosario Dawson, and Jimmy Bennett

23. I have a serious shopping addiction

24. I have been to 15 different countries

25. I go to camp for a month every summer and go on a two week camping trip (backpacking, canoeing, glacier climbing, sea kayaking)

26. I was born with two teeth stuck together and when the baby teeth came out only one tooth grew back in place of them, so one of my teeth isn't real

27. I have been in 14 plays starting from age 8, and that is where I first learned to do my makeup

28. I have a charm bracelet from my grandparents with a charm for every play I've done

29. I have an addiction to anything that smells good (i.e. Candles)

30. You will never see me not wearing either pink, polka dots, or a bow

31. I love wearing athletic wear in day to day life

32. I have baby sized hands (ring size of 5 1/2)

33. I have insanely small handwriting

34. I love running

35. I hate the smell of roses

36. Crab-Cream Cheese Wontons are my absolute favorite food (random?)

37. I REALLY want a yorkie puppy. And I REALLY want to name him popcorn. Yes

38. By age 12 I had worse vision than my grandmother, (I have been wearing contacts since before 5th grade)

39. I love Hello Kitty

40. I always want to bake things, but I always get bored in the middle of the process and regret that I started it

41. I am very shy until I feel comfortable around you, but once I do I get so incredibly weird

42. When I was little I collected snow globes from every new place I went, so now I have about 50 snow globes I have no idea what to do with

43. I have an iPhone 4s

44. I am currently redoing my makeup storage with old vintage-y tins and things I find at garage sales (I found an amazing old Tiffany & Co. tin today for 25¢!)

45. Disneyworld is one of my favorite places on earth and I love anything Disney

46. I’m an extremely picky eater

47. I never take off my earrings or my necklace

48. I absolutely hate when the clasp of your necklace comes to the front

49. I prefer silver to gold

50. I love making projects for myself (the latest project being this blog!)
